Christian Single Dating for Single Christians
Leave a CommentOur vision for this Christian single dating site has never been to be simply a Christian dating service. Rather, our goal has always been to be a Christian singles “resource hub” where one can find Christian single dating reviews, spiritual encouragement, dating advice, singles groups and interaction with other singles by the writing and sharing of articles.
Christian Single Dating Tips
Many have written asking us what Christian single dating advice we could give in order to help singles enjoy a better online Christian dating experience. We thought long and hard on this, and came up with one simple thought: Avoid Extremes. Here’s what we mean by that:
On the one hand, there are many singles who yearn for a Christian single dating partner, but are overly cautious. So much so that they allow their fears to rule over their desire for a Christian single dating relationship. The end result is that these poor singles remain depressed, discouraged and quite possibly out of God’s will.
As far as the other Christian single dating extreme is concerned, there are those Christians who get tired of waiting on God, and plunge heart first into a Christian single dating relationship that they should have avoided altogether. The result is often a bunch of pain, rejection and heartache. These Christian dating singles have not taken to heart our Bible Verse of the day:
-Above all else, guard your heart,
for it is the wellspring of life.-Proverbs 4:23
Successful Christian single dating means having a prayerful balance between the two dating attitudes we find among Christian singles.

Meet Attractive Christian Singles
Want to meet attractive Christian singles? It seems just about every single Christian I know is in the market to meet attractive single Christians in hopes of meeting a mate. Reacting to this demand, many Christian dating services advertise how one can meet attractive single Christians on their sites.
What’s Wrong With Trying to Meet Attractive Single Christians?
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with hoping to meet attractive Christian singles. But I guess what bothers me is it seems Christians have accepted the world’s definition of what it means to be “attractive”. Nine out of ten times attractive by this standard entails putting much more emphasis on outward appearance, rather than on what’s inside of a person. Of course, God’s advice to those seeking to meet an attractive Christian single would be the exact opposite.
The story in 1 Samuel is that Samuel the prophet was looking to annoint a new king for Israel, and thought God’s choice for His people should be the most handsome and powerful looking dude out there. Of course, the Lord had other plans when he chose David.
Bible Verse of Day
But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” - 1 Samuel 16:7-
Hey, ya know what? I’m just as clueless as Samuel was, because I still struggle with judging people by their outward appearance. So how about you? In your quest toward meeting an attractive Christian single, are you taking the world’s view of attractive over the Lord’s? Are you open to His leading you in the area of choosing a mate?

Emerging Church Movement and Single Adults Who Think Church Sucks
Leave a CommentThe emerging or emergent church “conversation” is changing the way many Christians think about reaching singles, who are by far the most unchurched group in places like the US and UK. As some emerging church propenents rightly remind us, the vast majority of the 90 million American single adults avoid traditional church at all costs, and something must be done to reach them
While I’m not part of the emerging church movement because I do believe in propositional truths as found in the Scriptures, I certainly appreciate some of it’s aspects.
The Emerging Church and Missional Living
One emerging church view I agree with is that all believers should be missionaries, lovingly engaging the unchurched around them. Sadly, most people in the Evangelical Church feel that Jesus left us on earth primarily to fellowship with each other instead of reaching lost, poor souls. Ouch!
The emerging church issue aside, as a single Christian who has experienced His love and forgiveness, how are you living and dating to effect the other singles in your midst who are in need of a Saviour? Does it really matter to you? To your church?
Bible Verse of Day
“I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.”
1 Corinthians 9:22,23
