Set Up for Famous Movie Love Quote
On New Year’s Eve, Harry, walking alone in New York City, realizes he loves Sally. Panic rushes in as he sprints to meet her before the Times Square Ball drops. Just as “Auld Lang Syne” begins, Harry (Billy Crystal) catches up to Sally (Meg Ryan), and blurts out:
-I’ve been doing a lot of thinking, and the thing is, I love you-
Okay, to really enjoy this famous love movie quote, I guess you had to have seen the movie. You see, Harry finally was able to overcome his fear of telling Sally that he loved her. Believe, me, it was a touching scene.

American Idol Jordin Sparks a Christian Single
3 CommentsAmerican Idol Jordin Sparks is now one of the top 9 Idol finalists. She is also a dedicated Christian single girl who sings to bring glory to Christ. In fact, before trying out for American Idol, Jordin Sparks toured with Michael W. Smith, one of Contemporary Christian Music Radio’s top stars. I guess that’s why Michael has been actively encouraging other believers to vote in Jordin Sparks as this year’s American Idol winner.
Jordin Sparks and Other American Idol Christians
That’s right, Jordin Sparks is not the only Christian American Idol Finalist. Last week three other Christians joined Jordin in the top 10: Chris Sligh (unfortunately he got booted out last night), Phil Stacey (my fellow student at Liberty Seminary) and cutie pie, Melinda Doolittle, who also happens to be a single Christian.
You would think with all this positive press that gives Christians a worldwide stage for sharing about Jesus, believers would be supportive of these folks. Nope. Instead you hear attacks from some that question their faith and commitment for singing a secular song. Give me a break!
My take on all this nonsense is best expressed by American Idol Chris Sligh. In addition to having been on American Idol with Jordin Sparks, Chris serves as worship leader for his home church in South Carolina:
“I am first and foremost a Christ-follower. I am also a rock star. I don’t feel the two are diametrically opposed. If you do…I feel bad for you.”

Really Sad Love Quotes

What’s really sad about our love quote of the day is not the quote itself, but the fact that the creator, David Viscott, died without experiencing the love of which he spoke. Now do you see why the below is such a really sad love quote?
David was a well known US psychiatrist who had a radio show where he counseled others. Separated from his wife, and estranged from his children, he died alone in his hotel room in LA, by apparently taking his own life. How sad! As far as we know, he was not a believer in the Lord Christ, who could have filled his life with the love he sought.
Thank God as Christian singles, we have a Saviour who loves us, and the opportunity to lshare His with all those around us-family friends, and lovers.
