Tiger Woods & Elin Nordegren are the most famous interracial relationship couple of the week, as they just became the proud parents of a baby daughter, Sam Alexis. We’ve written a number of articles about interracial relationships and Christian dating. Sadly, I cannot believe the number of hateful emails I received attacking us for our views of interracial relationships.
Interracial Relationships and the Bible
The wonderful thing I see in Scripture is that God is absolutely color blind. The only guidelines He gives us regarding interracial relationships is to not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.
Bible Verse of Day
~But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light~1Peter 2:9

I am quoting this famous love quote today for the many singles who have written us about their love or dating relationships that have just not worked out as planned. Some have written us about the pain unrequited love. Others have recently written us about what it’s like dating a pathological liar, and the trials that go along with that. As this famous love quote asserts, sometimes it’s just best to let go, and trust the Lord to work things out.
Famous Love Quote of Day
~If you love someone, let them go. If they return to you, it was meant to be. If they don’t, their love was never yours to begin with~

My friend is heartbroken. You see, Mary Andrusiak, her mom, recently died. It was very difficult for Andrea to watch this dear 80 year young widow, once full of life and vigor, slowly fade away from cancer. After her mom’s death, Andrea reminisced, “Dave, I used to see her everyday. She wasn’t just my mother, she was my best friend.” The pain in her voice said it all for me.
Dying a Lonely Death as a Single Person
We hear many sad stories of folks who are single-never married, divorced or widowed, and who face sickness and death alone with no one to support them. Considering that over 25% of US households are run by singles, fear of being alone in death is a legitimate concern many singles have. Thankfully, Mary had a loving daughter who took care of her to the end of her life on earth.
Hope After Death
Dealing with grief over the death of a loved one is one of the most difficult things to endure. While Andrea misses her mom terribly, she knows the parting is only a temporary arrangement, and looks forward to the day when they will meet again. Yes, the wonderful thing for Christians is that death is not the end, but the beginning of eternal life with Jesus in Heaven. No more pain or tears or dying. Thank God Mary is now more alive than ever before!
Bible Verse of Day
~Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him…therefore, encourage each other with these words~ 1 Thessalonians 4:13,14,18
