Do you have that blessed assurance that you are in fact a child of God? Fanny Crosby, who happened to be blind, wrote the lyrics of Blessed Assurance, that ageless Christian song that opens like this:
~Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! O what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, born of his Spirit, washed in his blood~
Wow! We can have this kind of blessed assurance simply by trusting God’s word and what it says.
In 1 John 4:12-21, we learn that we can have a personal blessed assurance in regard to our faith. As we walk in love, abiding in Him, the Holy Spirit assures us that we belong to God (v. 12-13, 16). In other words, Christ-like love that grows in our hearts serves as proof that God has indeed given us life and that we belong to Him. This assurance is only available to those who confess Jesus as the Son of God (v. 14-15).
With this kind of assurance, we need not fear judgment (v. 17-18) because we know that God in His love has poured out His judgment upon His Son Jesus on our behalf. Thus we are free to walk with Him and to continually demonstrate our love for Him by loving others (v. 19-21). Let’s walk with solid assurance as we grow in our love for God and as we express our love for Him by loving and serving others!

~If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us~ 1John 4:15,16

Okay, I confess. I have a MySpace profile with MySpace love quotes on it. MySpace love quotes are those “thingys” that you paste on your site to express yourself. The above is an example of a MySpace love quote. There are hundreds of websites built around collecting MySpace love quotes. You can find almost any kind of MySpace love quote including Christian MySpace love quotes.
MySpace Love Quotes for Jesus
I know there are some Christians who would be upset with me for having a MySpace account, let alone Myspace love quotes pasted on this site.
After all, they would say, “There are a few good MySpace alternatives for Christians out there, so why dance with the devil?” Well if it makes you feel better, I’ve joined those Christian social networks too. The reason I have a Myspace blog (with MySpace love quotes!) is that there are millions of Christians and non-Christians using the site, and these are the kinds of singles Jesus wants us to reach, even if in a subtle and gentle way. I don’t believe God wants us to “ghettoize” ourselves by sticking only in Christian networks. Do You?
Additionally, MySpace love quotes are great conversations starters, and often prompt visitors to contact you or become a member of your friends list. If they are Christian singles, well you’ve just met another brother or sister that may blossom into a great relationship. If they are not believers, it’s a great opportunity to reach out and share Jesus with them.

Are you a time saver? A time waster? For whatever reason, time management and living single and alone don’t mix too well. Many single Christians, especially recently single again men and women, seem to be short on time. Many I know tell me the problem is they don’t prioritize their time efficiently. That’s what we call poor time management.
Maybe one of the reasons some of us have time management issues is because we always seem being pulled in thousand different directions by “things” or activities that beg for our time (yeas, I’m preaching to myself!) Hey, some of this stuff can be good and necessary, like single parenting, working, finding a dating relationship, serving at church, etc. But at the end of the day we wonder what have we actually done with our time.
Spiritual Time Management
Did you know that God wants His child to use their time on Earth wisely? He certainly does not want us to stress out as singles, but to have joy in Him as we our time for the furthering of His kingdom.
God’s word reminds us often about good time management for God’s the kingdom of God. For example, in our Bible passages of the day, Paul encourages us In Ephesians 5:15-20 to walk wisely/sensibly/intelligently (v. 15). We are to make the most of each opportunity to shine brightly for Him in the midst of a dark world (v. 16). Let’s not waste our lives on foolish pursuits such as drunkenness, but let’s continually walk in the fullness of the Spirit (v. 18).
In other words, let’s be constantly under the influence of nothing but the Spirit of God. Those who are full of the Spirit long for worship and they speak words and sing songs that reflect the heart of a worshiper (v. 19). In addition, those who are full of the Spirit show it in their gratitude, thanking God for all things (v. 20).
Remember that He is able to use all things, even the difficult circumstances and the times when we’ve been wrongfully hurt, for His ultimate purposes (Rom. 8:28). He wastes nothing in our lives, including our time! Let’s shine for Him!

~Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil~Ephesians 5:15,16
