Do you ever feel that sometimes God’s actions simply do not make sense? As Christian singles, maybe it’s a Christian dating relationship that’s gone awry, or some other event in your life that’s got you thinking about ”the why” of it all. Why did God allow this? What’s God plan? Where do I go from here?
God is Good and He Always Makes Sense
As I write this I am sitting in the pediatric intensive care unit waiting room of St. Peter’s Hospital. I have been visiting parents of very sick children, seeking to encourage them and uplift their spirits. Many of these parents (some of whom are single parents) have been struggling trying to figure out what sense it makes that God is allowing their little ones to suffer. Hmmm. That’s a hard question to answer.
I use the term “visiting” loosely because I am actually also a patient at the hospital. This has been my fifith trip to the hospital in 2 months, and up until I met the parents of these poor little kids, I was wondering why God allowed me to come here again. These people, more unfortunate than myself, needed help, and for His own reasons, I was the instrument He wanted to use.
Now I just want to say one thing: You would never have found me ministering in this way because hospitals give me the creeps (some minister, right?), so God figured out some other way to get me here. In so doing, He has helped me get over my fear of hospitals in a mighty and powerful way while helping folks at the same time.
Whatever you are going through today as a single person, I want to say to you that God has a mighty and powerful plan for your life. Yes, it may be God’s ways just don’t make sense to us as we go through them, but his ultimate goals are always loving and good.
Sometimes God allows bad things to happen to us, in order to discipline and guide us onto a right and better path. Sometimes, it’s to make our faith in Him grow. Sometimes, like in my situation, He puts us in a fix in order for us to conquer our own fears and to help others in the process.
Ultimately, we may never know the “whys” of it all, but we can be assured of who it is that is leading us along the way. He is the Risen Saviour, our God and King! Since He is the God who raises the dead, is anything too difficult for Him?
Are you going through a tough time? Wondering why?
Bible Verse of Day
~ But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us,~ 2 Corinthians 1:9-10

Many Christian singles can identify with love hurts quotes based on the thousands of singles that have hit our site looking for things like heartbreak love quotes and unrequited love quotes. All of these “love hurts” quotes have one common denominator: Pain. Ouch! Why is it that love hurts quotes are so popular?
Why Love Hurts Quotes?
The simple fact is love hurts quotes are popular because most dating/romantic relationships end on a bad note. This holds true whether one uses online Christian dating or some other more traditional means. Love hurts quotes resonate with those who have been through a bad dating relationship, because they can identify with the feelings of rejection expressed behind them.
So what’s the word here? Do we just give up and forget about finding our Christian dating match? Absolutely not. Remember, the Lord promises to provide all of our needs, and will ultimately do so as we wait on Him.

Pathological lying is not exclusively a trait of politicians. Truth be told, I’ve been known to tell a few whoppers myself. But I can’t believe the number of Christians who write saying pathological lying is going on in their dating relationships. Some are dating pathological liars, but don’t know how they can break up with them. Others wrote us privately, confessing that they needed help stopping their pathological lying.
Are you a Christian single who thinks you have a problem with pathological lying? Are you in love with a pathological liar? Of course, you may want to seek some good Christian counseling for this issue.
At the Heart of Pathological Lying
A number of Christian counselors have writtenl Christian books on the reasons for pathological lying in dating relationships. But when you get down to it, it all amounts to the same thing: Sin. We are all desperate sinners in great need of forgiveness, restoration and healing.
The absolute wonderful news is that our Lord Jesus can and will perform a miracle in your life by not only forgiving the penalty of your sin, but delivering you from its power in your life as well if you truly surrender it over to Him.
Bible Verse of Day
~For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God~ Romans 8:13,14
