How we need the Prince of Peace today! Not only is there little peace in the world due to wars, but many walk around anxiously with little peace of mind and contentment in their hearts. Not a few of these folks are singles, who make up over 90 million people in the US alone.
Prince of Peace Promise
Recently, a dude took out a full page ad in the New York Times claiming he was the prince of peace, and would bring lasting peace to the world. Uh, I don’t think so. The true Prince of Peace is Jesus Christ Himself, God’s Son, and someday real soon He is coming back to restore perfect peace among the nations. Won’t that be wonderful? In the meantime He has left this comforting promise to His kids:
~Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid~ John 14:27

I guess the Lord really wanted me to write about the Prince of Peace today. I get to church, and guess what song the worship team was playing for the first time? You got it, Prince of Peace! Do you like contemporary Christian music lyrics? While most Christian singles in our survey stated contemporary Christian music (CCM) is preferred over hymns, some voiced concern over the perceived shallowness of the lyrics. In this regard, the biggest complaint I hear about contemporary Christian music lyrics is that the choruses are so, so repetitive. I don’t know. I’ve heard some pretty boring and unbiblical Christian hymns of praise in my day. Overall, I enjoy many of the contemporary Christian music lyrics out there, as long as they are biblical and make me want to shout and sing praises to my Jesus. After all, shouldn’t that be the purpose of contemporary Christian music lyrics, and all other types of Christian worship music we hear at church or on the radio?

there a good number of sites offer contemporary Christian music lyrics. On most of these contemprary Christian music websites you can search by alphabet, title of song, album, artist and duh, lyrics! Many will have links to free mp3 downloads and places like ITunes and Napster where you can purchase any kind of contemporary Christian music (and lyrics) you wish. This is pretty cool if you ask me because just several years ago, I had a difficult time looking for just the right contemporary Christian lyrics or worship music.
