Many singles I know are depressed and discouraged because they cant can’t seem to find contentment in their present state of singleness. Their pursuit of the perfect Christian dating relationship leading toarward marriage is so all consuming that that lose the joy of living day to day as a single person. Let’s be clear here. Accepting singleness has nothing to do with pursuing a Christian marriage with the right person. Not at all. There is absolutely nothing wrong being a marriage minded Christian single, to have that deep yearning for a life long soulmate. In fact, unless you have the gift of singleness, this is entirely normal and desirable. Use eHarmony dating service or Christian Mingle. but he balance I suppose is not allowing life to “pass you by” while you pine away while waiting on God for that Christian dating match.

Over all, accepting singleness or any state or condition in life) is learned process. So I think if singles who have a hard time accepting singleness can apply Paul’s words found in Philippians 4:11-13, it will go a long way:

1 CommentAnybody out there wish there was a book called Relationships for Dummies? I sure do. In my 20-Somethings group, there appears to be a number of single Christians who are clueless about the opposite sex and dating, and would benefit from a Relationships for Dummies manual. I mean it could cover all types of situations and offer sound, biblical advice on issues ranging from sex sins and dating, to marriage, divorce, how to ask a girl or guy out on a date, to dating advice on how start using on using online Christian dating services.

I guess in a way, this Christian singles blog is an online Relationships for Dummies manual. The cool thing about a Christian dating advice like this is that it is interactive, and you can get feedback from other relationship dating dummies too. LOL
In our Bible Verse of the Day (8.23.11 it reads: Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed. Proverbs 15:22 I think that’s the best relationships for dummies advice I can give.

Letting Go of a Relationship as a Christian Single
Leave a CommentSometimes letting go of a relationship can can be harder than finding a girlfriend or boyfriend. Even when we know letting go of a particular relationship is in our best interest, like in the case of an abusive dating relationship, or dating a married person or dating an unbeliever, it is not always an easy decision. Many times a Christian single may struggle over feeling guilty or think that that the right person will never come into your life if you break up with the other person. Never feel that way about letting go of a relationship you know God wants you to leave.
