In the Scriptures Paul writes: “Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content”. The gist of this word means to have a sense of sufficiency and contentment with one’s lot, regardless of external circumstances. I wish could I could have the kind of contentment Paul spoke of, but too often I allow circumstances to choke it out of me.
