John Milton said loneliness is the first thing called called “not good.” We read in Genesis 2:18 that God said it was not good for man to be alone. But today loneliness is a “social pain” that chronically inflicts more than 60 million Americans, whether they are single or married. Many single Christians feel loneliness is a social ill just for singles. Not true. Loneliness, the experts tell us in not necessarily about being alone, but rather about being disconnected in heart relationships from others. That why a person who is in a crowed room can sill feel lonely.
